Why it matters

Our solution will bring benefits to society at large, reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, while providing a green route for the synthesis of formic acid that is not fossil fuel derived. LiquidCarbon provides an opportunity for both CO2 emitters in need to decarbonize, as well as formic acid consumers.

Working on

The product consists of a dual catalytic system able to selectively trap CO2 from air or biogas sources and convert it into formic acid using green hydrogen at extremely mild conditions compared to established synthetic routes.
